Young people in Lancaster and Morecambe are to be given sexual health advice.
Stands will be displayed in the St Nicholas Arcade in Lancaster and the Arndale Centre in Morecambe throughout National Sexual Health Awareness Week – September 14 to 21.
Dr Frank Atherton, director of public health for NHS North Lancashire, said: “There is a variety of contraception methods available to prevent an unplanned pregnancy, and using a condom every time you have sex will reduce the risk of contracting a sexually transmitted infection.”
The week aims to broaden young adults understanding of sexual health and relationships by increasing access to accurate information and developing people’s knowledge of the choices available to them which affect their sexual health.
