OPT is a registered charity financed by membership, donations and bequests. You can become an OPT member for as little as £15 a year, but we’re grateful to those who have contributed higher membership fees, donations or legacies.

You can become a member by giving an annual amount of your choice (but not less than the minimum £15 a year). Please choose a method:

UK members receive Jackdaw, the biannual members’ magazine, and, if requested, the biannual OPT Journal. All online members worldwide receive the OPT Newsletter every three months. Jackdaw publishes features, reviews, members’ views and letters, and the OPT Newsletter carries news of members’ activities. And there’s a lot of information about population issues on this website. OPT leaflets and posters can be viewed and ordered from this website. The Optimum Population Trust is a company limited by guarantee. It is funded by its members, receives no political or government funding and is independent of any political or commercial interests.
