It receives no political or government funding and is independent of political or commercial interests.

You can join for as little as £20 a year, and we’re particularly grateful to those who choose to contribute higher membership fees, additional donations or leave us a legacy in their will.

Members receive Jackdaw, our members’ magazine (published biannually) with features, reviews, members’ views and letters, and a copy of the biannual OPT Journal is available to members upon request.

An OPT Email Newsletter is sent out every three months with news of members’ activities, and email alerts are sent out periodically.

Members and non-members alike can also view and order OPT leaflets and posters from this website.
